i came out to my parents through a letter detailing how i wanted them to treat me. if your parents claim they accept gays, i think you should at least try drafting a letter explaining that you’re a lesbian but you aren’t ready for a relationship yet and you have certain worries about how they might treat you. you don’t have to give it to them but if you’re hoping to come out to them some time i think that’s a good way to prepare yourself. i like the letter approach because it gives your parents time to understand before you have to explain to them in person. so it also gives you time to prepare. i hope everything works out buddy.
